This softball infield was holding too much water due to compaction from 3-8 inches of clay and three times the normal amount of rainfall in 2004. The school district wanted to excavate 8 inches of the infield and replace with a premium infield mix.
Before Pictures Puddling, water not purking through the infield.
After Pictures Fracting action, Earthquake creates micro pores above and below the soild to allow percolating of water.
The athletic department save over $10,000 with the Earthquake process by fracturing in two directions. First at 5 inches then 8 inches on the final pass. The field was playable in 2 hours of the job being completed.
